Latte To-Do
is a pomodoro-style timer app that encourages productivity during a 25 minute period and allows for a 5 minute break.
My Role
I was the solo designer and developer on this project, so I designed the UX as well as coded all the functionality.
Process
This is the first fully completed web app that I have made! I made sure to split up my process to ensure everything was being completed in the most effective way.

Research and Inspiration
I began by researching different aesthetics for timer apps and deciding that I wanted to go with a cozy coffeeshop. I also watched many videos about the coding of an application like this to fully understand my task.

2. Designing
I started designing the background and buttons in Figma. I wanted to covey a very cozy feeling so one would feel relaxed when studying.

3. Development and Application
Once the assets were designed, I started coding my application in VSCode using react and electron. I ensured that all functionalities worked and completed the project.

Outcome
Through this project, I strengthened my understanding of front-end coding through html and TypeScript. As this was my first fully developed app, it was extremely rewarding to see everything functional and aesthetically pleasing. This project combined my passions for UX Design and coding and I really enjoyed the entire process.
