Game Builders Academy
is an educational service promoting the learning of technology and game design skills. I have worked there for 3 years and have noticed that the website is very outdated, so I resigned it as a personal project.
My Role
Being immersed in the culture and values of Game Builders Academy, I was able to understand and build on their brand identity. I met with the owner of the company and spoke about what feeling they would want a redesigned website to convey.
Process
As this is a project and company I am very passionate about, I made sure to carefully break up the process into 3 stages.

Research and Inspiration
I studied how the current website for Game Builders Academy looks and came up with a list of problems that I would like to improve to make it more readable, accessible, and visually pleasing. I looked at many popular game design websites to get inspiration for brand identity and different aesthetics.

2. Creating a Brand Identity
I decided on a brand identity that was appealing to gamers and kid-friendly, but also readable and accessible for parents that would be signing up their children.

3. Redesigning and Refining
I started designing in Figma and prototyping the website. I made sure all of the pages were functional and smooth, while also being visually appealing and readable.

Outcome
This project allowed me to build on my skills in Figma and understand how to prototype a website. It was very rewarding to see the functionality of the website and how it compares to the previous one.
